Departure from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka Pass with panoramic views. After Ouarzazate, visit a stromatolite site — one of the earliest forms of life on Earth. Continue through desert landscapes to the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves and ksour. Arrival in Zagora for dinner and overnight.
Zagora → Anti-Atlas → Alnif
Journey through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, exploring fossil-rich Ordovician formations where trilobites and marine fossils can be found. Pass through traditional Berber villages before arriving in Alnif. Free time to explore local fossil workshops. Overnight stay.
Alnif → Issoumour → Merzouga
Drive to the famous Issoumour trilobite site, one of Morocco's most important fossil locations. Continue via Rissani with its traditional markets and palm groves. Arrival in Merzouga near the Erg Chebbi dunes. Sunset views over the Sahara. Overnight in a hotel.
Merzouga → Kem Kem → Desert Camp
Optional sunrise near the dunes. Explore the Kem Kem fossil beds, famous for dinosaur remains and prehistoric species. In the afternoon, visit Khamlia village for Gnawa music. Camel trek across the dunes and overnight in a desert camp.
Merzouga → Todgha Gorges → Rose Valley
Departure towards Todgha Gorges, one of Morocco's most impressive canyons. Walk through the gorge and continue through the Valley of Roses, known for its kasbahs and agricultural landscapes. Overnight stay in the valley.
Rose Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Drive to Ouarzazate and continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient ksar before crossing the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech. End of the tour.

Departure across the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Stop at Sidi Rahal mining area, known for quartz, agate, chalcedony and amethyst. Picnic with local miners and continue to Ouarzazate. Overnight stay.
Ouarzazate → Fezouata → Alnif
Drive towards the Anti-Atlas region. Visit the famous Fezouata fossil formation, one of the most important Ordovician sites in the world. Explore marine fossil layers before continuing to Alnif. Overnight in hotel.
Alnif → Tiskawine → Latchana → Issoumour → Ofaten
Full day of fossil exploration. Visit Tiskawine mountain (rich in trilobites), Latchana, and Issoumour, one of Morocco's most important trilobite sites. Continue to Ofaten for additional fossil discoveries. Return to Alnif. Overnight.
Alnif → Tafraoute Sidi Ali → Mharech → Lamrakib → Tafraoute
Drive into remote desert areas. Visit Tafraoute Sidi Ali fossil sites, then continue off-road through Mharech and Lamrakib, exploring untouched landscapes and fossil areas. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Tafraoute → Lbegaa → Kem Kem → Filon 12 & 13 → Merzouga
Continue towards Lbegaa and explore the famous Kem Kem Beds, rich in dinosaur fossils (Spinosaurus), crocodile teeth and prehistoric fish. Visit Filon 12 and Filon 13 mines, known for vanadinite and quartz. Arrival in Merzouga. Optional sunset at the dunes. Overnight.

Full day exploring fossil sites around Alnif. Visit Cambrian layers known for large yellow trilobites. Continue to Jbel Tiskaouine, famous for calymene and flexicalymene trilobites. Return to Alnif for overnight.
Alnif → Taouz → Kem Kem → Merzouga
Travel south to Taouz and explore the famous Kem Kem Beds — Spinosaurus remains, crocodile teeth and fish fossils. Continue to Boutariyt for echinoderms, then visit Filon 12 mine (vanadinite, quartz, goethite). Stop at Mifis mine before arriving in Merzouga. Overnight in hotel.
Merzouga region exploration
Visit Azourz to collect Devonian pyritized goniatites and Tisket for trilobites. Discover an active baryte mine and enjoy a picnic in a desert oasis. Afternoon: collect gypsum desert roses and fossil bone fragments. Return to the hotel in Merzouga.
Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Midelt
Stop in the Ziz Valley to collect Cretaceous fossils (echinoderms). Continue to the Ziz Gorges for Jurassic brachiopods and bivalves. Visit the famous Ahouli and Mibladen mines (baryte, galena, vanadinite). Overnight in Midelt.
Midelt → Todgha Gorges → Dades Valley → Ouarzazate
Drive back towards Ouarzazate, stopping at Todgha Gorges for a walk through the canyon. Continue to Dades Valley for lunch and scenic views of rock formations and kasbahs. Arrival in Ouarzazate overnight.
Ouarzazate → Marrakech / Airport Transfer
Transfer back to Marrakech or to the airport depending on your departure time. End of the tour.
